Learning Is For Everyone
The LIFE Conference is an annual Conference held on the first Saturday of March on the campus of the University of Mount Olive. This conference, sponsored by this ministry, offers the opportunity for people across our denomination and others to come for a day of specialized training. This year's LIFE Conference theme is "Be Thou My Vision".  It will center around the Revitalization of The Church and it's ministries asking the question Is Christ our Vision?  If so, then the church will be all that God has called us to be.  It will be a day of Reflection and Refocus with over 25 workshops on topics such as church leadership for Pastors and Church Leaders as well as workshops for Youth Leaders, Sunday School Teachers and Superintendents and the Laity of the church also. This years conference we will also be having a special worship service that will include The Wilmington Celebration Choir and a special message by                   Dr. Don Ribeiro.  It is our prayer that everyone will leave this day encouraged, ready to return to their churches and work for the Kingdom like never before.
Also, every year at this conference we announce the Teacher and Sunday School Superintendent of the Year awards. All of the nominees will be recognized with a certificate and a gift of appreciation.
The recipients of the awards are presented with a plaque and a monetary gift given by Dr. Thomas Morris to be used to further any needs they may have in their Sunday School. We would like to encourage each church to begin thinking on who you may nominate to be the 2019 SS Teachers or Superintendent of the Year.  Nomination forms can be downloaded from the link below, also each Sunday School Superintendent and Pastor will receive a packet in the mail in January that will contain a copy of the applications.  Please feel free to make as many copies as needed.   We hope you and your church will begin to make plans to join us for next year's LIFE Conference on Sat. March 2,  2019.  Look for information in the Feb. 2019 issue of the FWB Community Magazine.
Come and join us for  for a great day of learning, fun and fellowship. You may also register your church below when time approaches.
Cost for the conference is $25 per individual or $100 maximum for the entire church.

"Be Thou My Vision"
“Be Thou My Vision”
An 8th century Irish hymn, written by Saint Dallan,
translated by Eleanor Hull in 1912.

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;
naught be all else to me, save that thou art-
thou my best thought, by day or by night;
waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word;
I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord.
Thou my great Father; thine own may I be,
thou in me dwelling and I one with thee.

Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise;
thou mine inheritance, now and always;
thou and thou only first in my heart,
high King of heaven, my treasure thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won,
may I reach heaven’s joys, O bright heaven’s sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
still be my vision, O Ruler of all.
